Angel has those gorgeous eyes and a very unique colour coat which I can't find words to describe. See that half burnt nose! Apparently, she was so curious that she went real close to fire.
Emerald green eyes and a content look with milk left on little lips. I remember taking this picture on the day I felt her stomach which was very heavy and bulging. I knew she had become a mom. Unfortunately none of her kittens survived. I haven't described Angel much here as compared to my other cat Devil.
Her personality actually fits her name and she is a real fighter. Just like single moms, she knows how to survive in tough Indian concrete Jungles.
Adorable. Just divine.
This is Pi, high on nip.
Shuri, when annoyed, gold eyes.
Shuri when she is content. Green eyes
I'll never say no to showing off my most beloved little guy ❤️
Enjoy :)
Mochi, Zaggy, Stripes, Crystal, Buddy, Ziggy. I recently posted Mochi and Crystal on another question so I hope it's OK to use them again.
Finally! A cat contest I can answer. My cats never go outside, (no climbing heights), I refuse to dress or immerse them, so no soaked cats or cats in ‘clothes’ (which I think detracts from the natural beauty of the cat as well as PingO the cat).
The first photo is of my late, beloved Quinoa. She was a tiny Singapura. Her ‘brother’, also a Singapura, has much more striking eyes; deep emerald green with constantly dilated pupils. He died at 18 and most of my photos of him are actual photographs, though you can get an idea of his eyes under the ’how did you pick your cat’s name’ in my answers here.
The other photos are of my cats now. It is difficult to capture eyes with a phone; I have plenty of wonderful eyeless cat pictures to prove it. They are beautiful even with ‘no eyes’.
These last two were taken today for you many lovers of the black cat. I told you he was goofy and elegant; now I can prove it!
Here's my baby, Ruby! I got her in March, she was very malnourished and mistreated by her past owners… since we got her she's gotten back to a healthy weight and, while she's still a little skittish, she's doing much better! People always ask me if she's a kitten, she isn't, she's just tiny! (:
Heres a more recent picture from a few weeks ago:
Andddd.. a pic of her sleeping just because shes adorable:

I may have posted some of these elsewhere on Pawsome. Marley’s just a little fellow in most of these.
Marley & Bear This is one of my favourites of him as a little fellow playing with Bear. But I have to be quick with the camera and capture the scene before he abandons Bear. What he really wants is my hand on Bear, operating him, making him come alive. Bear without the enlivening factor of my hand is just a dead lump of rags. Totally boring. At this point in his life he has not yet learned to hate the Big Black Eye aka camera. He’s watching to see what I’m doing next, deciding what he will do in the next second.
Kittie in the Gift Bag There’s no way he fits into this gift bag anymore. He did it only once and I was on the telephone when he did it. My friend wanted to see it so I grabbed my camera. Didn’t think to put on the light or correct the camera settings. The picture turned out much too dark and I played around with it until I got it this good. I don’t think the camera really caught the mischievous glint of challenge in those eyes. I’ve never seen him quite like that before or since. It was as though he was feeling extremely mischievous with a look that demanded, “What are you going to make of this?”
Marley’s First Time on the Computer. He’s just exploring his world, next step is my lap (bottom right corner) on his way to the desktop.
Big Boy Marley Months later, Marley is a big boy now, age 1 1/2 year, sitting atop the fence post surveying his kingdom with those big eyes or his, as well as his nose and ears. See how his ears are perked to pick up a very specific sound and I’m sure his nose is working overtime too. Not much goes unnoticed in Marley’s world.
UPDATE: Here’s Marley the Hunter’s eyes, age 2 1/2 years.
Behind me squirrels are running along the fence. Hence the saucer eyes.
Willow, our rescue kitty at 2 years old.
My Sweet Harry, Harold, Harry- Poo, Pooey! ♡♡♡♡♡♡♡♡♡♡♡♡♡♡♡♡♡♡♡♡

Tango
now and as a 6 week old kitten. Such a bright eyed little girl.
This is the picture I saw when my Bear was put up for sale. I knew as
soon as I saw his expressive little face that he was the one I had been searching for! His beautiful blue eyes are now gold, he is still so perfect!
I LOVE cats with the crystal blue eyes, tiger eyes, even the brown and gold. Green eyes and yellow are very common and never really caught my attention, that is until I met Buster!!
I have since learned to never leave her home, alone, and to always keep a fire extinguisher handy.
This is my pretty queen, Mazy may!
Meet Buster!
Buster was a sweet little “rescue kitty” that my brother sent down to me because Buster had gotten bored in their ten cat household and had decided to hunt down and kill the weakest of the other cats. After several attempts at re-education and several thousand dollars in vets’ bills Buster was sent to live with me.
I had a house that was plagued with mice. They became Buster’s new targets. He was definitely NOT one of those “cat and mouse games” type hunter. He’d pick out a high spot and focus on the path where he’d sniffed mice earlier.
Cute li’l Mickie of Minnie would poke its nose out and start a scurry down the path when a solid muscle with black fur would rocket down from the sky, pick the mouse up by its head, and give it one good solid neck-breaking shake.
Buster would then sit there for several minutes gently massaging the mouse skull between his teeth, and then carefully slice open a circular flap he could peel back before carefully lapping up the massaged and liquified mouse brains.
He would then bring the rest of the mouse to me, drop it at my feet, and go back to his hunting perch.
Unfortunately Buster had a slow-growing tumor inside of him that had never been noticed, and one day he went quietly off to Cat Heaven.
MJM, who still has his mummified squirrel however…
Bud’s eyes look bright green in natural outdoor light on sunny or semi-sunny days, a paler shade of green on overcast days, and yellow-green in indoor photos under LED bulbs. Both his fur and his eyes look different depending on whether he’s indoors or outdoors, and whether I’m taking the photo with my Canon or my iPhone.
Sometimes, especially with smartphone photos, his tabby markings are barely visible.
Indoors, his eyes are a paler shade of green and sometimes yellow-green. It also looks like he has natural “guyliner,” but don’t tell him that. :)
Looking up next to his scratcher: You can see the flecked color and different shades of green in his eyes:
I moved the vividness slider up and tweaked the black level slightly on this one, which had an effect both on his fur and his eye color. As a result, this one is more green than IRL:
A candid taken with an iPhone 4S, IIRC. Resolution is noticeably lower on this photo and my iPhone 6S Plus isn’t much better. Time to upgrade.
Another animal has Bud’s attention in this photo taken on a cloudy day. There’s a heavily wooded area in the direction he’s facing, with squirrels, birds and other small animals occasionally popping out:
Photo from 2019, with Bud sitting just inside the sliding glass door that leads outside from the living room:
Bud next to his scratcher just inside next to the sliding glass door.
Bertie’s eyes are a definite blue in bright light or the sun, whereas they are more of a grey when indoors.
My little baby's eyes!
I wanted to post 3, one when his pupils are super dilated, when they're kind of in between and lastly, when they're super thin. They're all from different years.
Also, if anyone has any comments as to why he may have those orange dots in his eyes in the last picture I would really appreciate any speculations! I am taking him to the vet next week to figure out why those have appeared but it would be nice to hear if anyone has experienced something similar and may know why.
(2017)
Bonus: he also has crumbs of his food on his little chin (that is a fake cactus in the background) (2019)
Up close and personal, in an attempt to capture those dots in his eyes (2020)
This is my girl, she adopted us in 2017 and has been bringing joy to us ever since.
First, shocked eyes, because her hooman’s at home at a weekday
Happy eyes with her new bed and Winnie the Pooh pillow.
Her eyes when we watch birds
Her eyes when she hears a noise coming from the street.
Selfie eyes
“Play with me!” look
“I may be hiding in a silly place but don’t find me”
“Selfie pose”
Her eyes when the door bell rings
Good night sleep tight eyes
“I have a bed but love sleeping under the clean laundries.”
These are my cats with the eyes that stare profoundly into the human soul and my cats can feel the vibrating human emotions, or else they see dead people! Miku staring at me early in the morning, waiting for breakfast. Somebody watching me.
My brother adopted this new cat, and we called him Mocha, as suggested by a good friend. Thank you, Holly Ruth .
Tiger freaking out over my phone’s camera flash!!
Miku and Hershey, shaming and staring at me, why are going on vacation and leaving us, Mother? Why?
Tiger, I love you!!!
Miku, I am over here!!
Tiger taking a selfie.
Miku, it is about time that you wake up!! I am starving, mom!!
This is peaches!!

This is my Ulee. His eyes are ridiculously blue.
My little black panther, Sambuca.
McGee always near, never on my lap. My wild child.
Gypsy, my feral rescue.
Jazzie helping me write poetry. Here’s one she wrote: setb mjilfrgthyjl;’l She is very creative.
My favorite picture of Frank’s eyes.
Here's my cat Marley.
He has such beautiful soulful amber eyes.
Does this count? Bonnie enjoys being accessorized.
Bonnie only has two looks, annoyed and entitled.
Dermott, the dude in the house, just had no clue why this hooman was obsessed with him.
Counting down to Kiki opening her eyes.
Before this, Milo had conjunctivitis at least two times. But now his eyes are back, clear and focused. He was a stray cat and now he stays with us until he finds a new home.
This is Mimi. She brought her kittens to our house and was pregnant too. Her eyes, if I happen to see her from afar, reminds me of a cat in witch stories.
Mimo, Mimi’s little boy. We thought he would have his mother’s witchy eyes. But his eyes turned brownish and yellowish, instead.
Loren, Mimi’s babygirl, also has eyes like her brother’s.
This is Lulu, Mimi’s baby and she seems to inherit Mimi’s eyes.
Note: We have three cats at home. The other cats came and seek shelter, so we let them stay and find homes for them through some communities here. Meanwhile, we enjoy taking photos of their activities.

Is this what they call eye candy?
I have four photos of two cats. Please comment and tell me which you like best.
For some reason, this is my favorite photo of Buddy. I have a million photos and videos of the big guy, and this one only shows his eyes while the rest show all of him. Even if he were not my foster-son, I would have to say he is not a bad looking guy.
Here, he had not been here long and was “hiding” behind my foot, waiting to pounce on the “monster under the cover” (my hand.)
Dobbie had become a bit impatient here. Here, he was insisting I get up and fix the empty food bowl. He was a bit older than Buddy when we rescued him, but he adapted quickly and learned how to dominate his new human with those eyes (and those claws , which do a nice job of waking me).
Buddy’s eyes can be seen a lot more clearly in this light. He truly is a handsome fellow - and he knows it.,
Here’s another of Dobbie waking me. His eyes can also be seen much more clearly.
