I love my little chocolate burmese. She is the sweetest pea alive. She is a chatterbox yet loving. My Ellie is my best buddie, I love her so much.
Ones that you love first. I have 5 cats now. One I got as a kitten and he has only known love and he’s a mamma’s boy. The other 4 were rescues. One lived in a garage. He had an elderly caretaker who fed him but his human contact was limited. Two sisters found last winter at about 6 months old. They were cuddling on a porch in January 2020. My recent was a neighborhood cat I saw around for about 2 years. He wouldn’t come near me. He’d eat the food I’d leave as long as I wasn’t around. One day he decided we were besties. I thought he was neutered but the sudden shift in how he reacted to me made me wonder if he was a female in heat. He was love in cat form. He started sleeping on my covered porch and that’s when I made a vet appointment. I was initially right he’s a neutered male. He got the all clear from the vet and I moved him in. He’s 2–3 years old and a big marshmallow. I’d say they are all the most loving but they need to trust you and you need to love them first.
My cat~~Cleocatra~~
Fred was a great warm and lovable guy before he passed. We were together almost 15 years
One reaching out to you from a shelter needing your love. We get so wrapped up in labels. I suppose ragdolls are supposed to be one of the more lovable but there’s nothing better than bringing home an already beating heart needing a home and clearly, you’re looking for one to put on your lap.
I may be biased, but my Maine Coon breed cat
is pretty sweet. Cats will not bite if you don’t play rough with them, and watch their tails when you are petting them. Learn the signs when they get overstimulated. Over petting them feels like it does when someone tickles you and won’t stop. Let them come to you for affection, and don’t force it on them. They will be the best cat ever.
My. two cats. i love them. to bits. They sleep next to me in bed. At night, they thank me for their food, they love me to bits all of which is returned as they are such loving cats.
Ok I’ve had several cats growing up who were all super lovey and cuddly all in their own ways, but my sweet baby Artemis is probably the most surprising one. He was picked up by the Louisville KY metro animal center off the streets near the train tracks and was adopted twice but returned twice before I found him. He was super sweet and cuddly from the moment I met him so I had no clue why he was returned until I found out his medical history. He has FIV and since I’ve adopted him his medical history and medical expenses has grown exponentially but he is totally worth every penny! He is the most sweetest, lovey, and patient cat I’ve ever been adopted by (cause ya know he adopted me really lol). He lovessss to stay by my side and sit with me and sleeps on my stomach every night and is very attached to me where ever I go in the house. My husband has a mixed Maine coon who is equally as affectionate and loves to cuddle with us both but in different ways. Leo is out Maine coon mix. Leo likes to lay under the blankets usually under my arm or in a spooning position with either me or the hubby and loves to also sit in our laps. He also lovesss being held like a baby by my husband (and sometime me). They are both very affectionate but show it in slightly different ways. They both love to rubs their faces on stuff of ours. Arty (short for Artemis) doesn’t like us putting our faces near his but he will willingly tolerate any medicine and cat maintenance stuff like a champ and just sits there and takes it. Leo hates all cat maintenance but loves Eskimo kisses and loves when our faces are super close to his. He likes to rub his cute little face all over ours and sniff us etc.
So it’s def not the breed but the temperament of the cat and if they are affectionate, in my experience, they will show it pretty early on in the first meeting. My husband and I give them lottttsss of lovings in human and cat language and they respond really well to both. We give lots of slow blinks (cat language for I love you) and cuddles and actual English words telling them we love them and they seriously positively respond to all three equally. The more loving we are the more loving they are! So just depends on their temperament and on yours too! Pictures below!

Of course different cats are different but I have always found orange to have a very loving personality.
My husband and I found the most loveable cat by going to our local shelter and visiting with the kittens. We tried to go without no set ideas on what type or color or breed of cat that we wanted. We knew that every cat there needed a good home. We took our time and watched the kittens play.
Finally one of the kittens was interested in us. He climbed into my husband's lap. He sat for awhile then he came to me and sat in my lap. Then to seal the deal, he went back to my husband. We had already fell into love with this blond kitten. We were so lucky to be chosen to be his family.
I definitely recommend going to your local shelter and let a cat pick you. Good luck.

My cat, Meep is the best cat in the world. She is my unofficial Emotional Support Cat. We adopted her from a no kill cat shelter that thought she was too wild for a family setting. She had been on the streets so long that she was considered semi-feral.
Once I convinced them that I had plenty of cat experience and we would move nice and slow with her, they allowed the adoption. Right away, Meep slept at my feet. And then on my legs. Soon she was on my belly, and finally made her move to my chest. In no time she became my shadow. I jokingly call her my “puppy-cat” because of her tendency to follow me around.
I am bipolar, which manifests mostly as crippling depression. I also have Pseudotumor Cerebri which means that my body makes too much cerebrospinal fluid which causes pressure on my brain. This causes my brain to behave as if I have a brain tumor and causes near constant migraines. This all sound fantastic I’m sure. But, my Meep curls up next to me on days when I can’t move my head. And on those days that I can’t face the world, she’s right there with me.
She is a talker. And a smuggler. She loves her pets and tummy rubs. Most importantly, she loves me. I have been told that she wanders around the house crying, calling me and searching for me when I have to leave. Meep is my closest friend. I don’t know what I ever did before I had that fuzzy little Angel in my life. I don’t want to find out. She is the best cat in the world. Meep “kneads” me as much as I need her.
Just like there is no best human, there is no best cat, every cat has unique behaviour and one should appreciate its uniqueness.
But following cat video illustrates how cute cats could be:
My cat Beau is indisputably the Best Cat In The World. First of all, he's a seal point Siamese, and Siamese cats are The Best Cats In The World Anyway. Secondly, he always comes to sit in my lap, no matter what he or I might be doing. If my lap is available, he's there. He's my Constant Companion. Third, he gets under the covers with me. Always. He helps keep me warm and graciously moves into my spot on the pillow if I have to get up, so that he can keep it warm for me. Sometimes he lays across my neck and purrs. He loves me and wants me to know it.
Now, he says, please send him his trophy.
Looks like a kitten printer run out of INK.
Definitely a cat that has been rescued. I rescued my cat from the streets of a Greek island, when she was approximately ten months’ old. She is the most affectionate and loving cat I have ever known. She follows me around more than my dogs do! I wake up to have her sleeping in the crook of my arm and she starts purring if I even come into a room she’s in. It was quite a palaver getting her back from Greece - she was so brave on the journey, but think she knew she was going to a better place. I’ll never regret rescuing her - she is so loving and sweet.
Rescue a cat if you want a really loveable cat.
Having been owned my many cats during my life, I’ve learned that the ones that love your most, are the ones you love most. It simply a reciprocal arrangement, like any love affair.
That being said, some cat’s personalities lend themselves to expressing outwardly more attention to humans. They meow, they follow, the pester and rub. On the other end of the spectrum, shy reserved cats that my shun you in public or with others around, often save their affection for special times, alone times, or when they feel most loving towards you.
ALL of them!!!! Honestly, when I went to adopt my cat from a shelter, she chose ME. She looked at me with beautiful green eyes, and when I opened the door to her crate and reached in to pet her, she closed her eyes, snuggled down into her kitty bed, and gave me a love bite. I looked at the other kitties, who were lovely, but kept being drawn to Greta. She came home with me the next day and has become a real love bug!
Mine and of course yours if you have 1 or 4 or more. And of course all the cat lovers out there. And of course my 3, did I already mention them?
I found my cat, going to a shelter where all cats were allowed to roam free in the attic. It was decorated, all cats had place for them selfs and toys. All in All a perfect place. I had a lot of cats coming to me. Climbing in my lap and all. But i didn't like one of them, not as i know I'd love my cat. So i was upset (i was six at the time). And i played with a little ball when this sweet little cat cam along and he kicked the ball back to me. I knew right away that was ny cat. We took him home even though he was the most antisocial cat in the shelter.
Now 11 years later he is still with us. 12 years old and he still goes outside every day, sleeps with me and comforts me if i need him. He plays and always leans against one of us. He has never climed into my lap. But I don't care! Since he is my cat.
What I'm wanting to say. If you seek a cat that is most lovelable, go to a shelter and seek the one that speaks to you the same. Ask yourself the question what do i want in a cat, a lazy hugger. A playful kitty. Or something in between. If you choose the cat you want. Than it forever will be the most loveable cat possible in your eyes. And those are the most important ones!
This is my most loveable cat!
My most lovable cat was the one I wasn’t looking for.
I had two cats about a year old who were littermates. My vet had said she thought my neighborhood was one where it was safe to let my cats go out, so I’d installed a cat door so they could go in and out at will. One day my neighbor came to tell me she had just seen a pickup truck go out of its way to run over one of them. Poor Maeve was dead.
I was grieving and so was her sister, Medea, so I decided to try to find a kitten to be a companion for her (I thought a kitten would be less threatening than a full-grown cat who might challenge her; Medea is a sweet, gentle, scaredy-cat). I tried the Humane Shelter and cat rescue organizations: no kittens.
Finally, I looked on Kijiji. Instead of a kitten, I found an 11 year old, toothless Korat with digestive problems who was being given up due to her owner’s allergies. I thought, “No one will adopt her,” so I decided to.
Ella was the sweetest, most affectionate, loving cat I have ever encountered, and everyone who met her said the same. She was small, and curled up on my left upper arm whenever I was on the computer. She had to spend a day at the vet’s, and when I picked her up, the vet said she’d not been a cage all day; she was always on someone’s shoulder. She cuddled up with me every night in bed. Anyone who came over was amazed at how friendly and cuddly she was.
Unfortunately, I had her for only three years before she passed, but I will never forget her.
Hi Marcus, apologies in advance for irritatingly, simplifying this…the one you give the most care and attention.
Yes, there are breeds naturally disposed to being lap cats, like the Ragdoll for example, and they are easily googled.
I haven’t had lap cats, but with time, care and attention given, they have been the most loving, attentive, funny and communicative pets.
Snowshoes are very loveable. However they have a trait like a doberman Pincher. They chose a master owner
PS Daisy picks my husband over me. She is so crazy about him
She knows his work schedule
He cant tie his shoes
Soon as he sits she's all over him
Follows all over the house
Daisy pick her master.
I have loved all my cats equally but differently according to their own personalities and my relationship with them as individuals.
The best cats in the world are the two I currently share my heart and my home with now.
Luna and her brother Tommy.
My cat.
Fancy.
No, this isn’t a picture off Google.
It’s just how pretty he is.
We got Fancy when one day in 2017, I saw a kitten underneath a bush, all alone without his mother.
We took him in, and from then on, he was our lil boy.
To this day, he’s an amazing, happy, LOUD, and just adorable lil man.
He’s very emotional too, and can sense whenever I’m happy or feeling down.
He’s very intelligent as well.
I have a feeling he knows things I don’t.
We have another cat as well, Mickey.
We rescued him, he was covered in ticks/fleas when we found him. If we hadn’t gotten him sooner, he may have died of blood loss.
This is him now:
They’re truly besties.
My father’s cousin owns a mechanic. I drove him there once because he recently had eye surgery, and then I met his cousin’s cat. She was pregnant, so I expected her to be a little aggressive or reject cuddles, I was wrong. She turned out to be the most loveable cat I’ve ever met. She blunted my hand whenever I brought it up to her, enjoyed cuddles whenever I offered her, and even accepted belly rubs! I was surprised, not only was she pregnant, but I had just met her.
