This is Buff, born into a horrid hoarding situation on 9 June 2014 according to the rescuers. They kept close watch and made notes on when new kittens appeared. They tried to save as many as they could without trespassing. They took over 200 cats and kittens off the property before the house was demolished for a road project.
Buff was saved on 29 June that year along with 1 sister and 3 cousins (2 boys and a girl) who were born on 27 May.
The above was taken on his 6th birthday last June.
Here he was on rescue day, just before his 1st bath. They thought he might lose that left hind leg, or be crippled. Worried about the sight in his left eye, too.
The rescuers and foster did a hugely wonderful job with him and the others. Here they were just 2 months later. Daisy (his sister), Buff, Harrison, Cooper and Angelina (the 3 cousins).
We adopted Buff and Cooper on 19 October that year.
They are good, big boys.
This is my cat Squatch a Ginger Main Coon.
Yes!
This is my ginger girl Tsuki, the moon.
She was left before my work place one day in last fall. She kept staying under the office car for about four days. The fourth day I came up to the office after three-days holidays, I found the ginger kitty under the car.
After a year she became the biggest of all my cats.
Here is my Jax. He has some ginger spots on him….. He is one of the craziest, wildest, smartest, funnyist, cuddlyist, curious, smartest, kitties I have ever had!
Gladly! Our guy was left outside Pet Smart January 2019. Just in a carrier with a blanket. He’s about five and a real sweetheart. He gets along with the two girls, just ignores any drama.
He has a broken tail, it doesn’t bother him. Just looks cute. His name is Sam Spade. (And that is a Maltese Falcon in front of him.) Cuddly soul.
And he likes to curl up on the bed.
He’s a great guy. We’re so glad he decided to join our family.
This is Eydie.
Milo Poodlekat.
In my country, Malaysia
Of course! Here is my old boy, Kabuki. He is 16 yrs old!
I make sure to always tell him how handsome he is and I think he knows!
Even at his old age he is quite greedy, and will beg for whatever he thinks smells delicious, even if he doesnt eat it. If it smells good enough he will try to smack it out of your hands.
He’s also a great work from home partner too. I play with his paws all the time, theyre so adorable
Lol ok, i could do this all day! Ill stop now to save you guys some time, haha!
Update: Thank you guys so much for all your lovely comments! Im glad Kabuki was able to bring a smile to so many faces! You are so kind and we both appreciate the love! Here is a picture of me giving him all of your compliments and him looking as if he already knows
TINI TIGER (6 mo at the time)
This is my little Monster.
This is my Big Yella Fella, helping me with layout decisions on a knitted afghan/baby shower gift.
May I introduce to you Sir Harry Wigglebutts. He turned 1 year old last month on April 12th. I was assigned as the mid-wife just as I noticed his mother Sweet Pea was in labor.
Sweet Pea is on the left. To the right is her sister Fancy Face. Their mother below is Kalliope. Kalliope is feral although she is slowly warming up to me. She blinks her eyes slowly as if to say, “Hey, I like you an all that just don’t touch me, k?”
Toffee and Tango. Different mommies. One week apart in age. Together since birth. Our special boyz. Toffee has serious kidney problems. He has a subcutaneous urethra bypass (SUB) installed almost two years ago. He’s doing great and while he probably will not live a long life, the life he lives will be good. Tango is also a special boy. He has things wrong with him the specialists have never been able to figure out, but he keeps getting better and chugging on. Right now he is in diabetic remission, his calcium numbers appear to be holding, his URD is managed along with his asthma by getting his puffer twice a day. No more insulin needles at this time. No prednisalone. Both are on special diets.
They are two of the best cats in the world. They love kids. Crazy, huh? Even little boys like my 18 month old great grandson, Jaxon, who is a whirling dervish. Toffee absolutely adores my great granddaughter.
No basket too small (Toffee)
Tummy shaved after another visit to the vet to get his SUB flushed.
Tango also likes small baskets.
They BOTH like bigger baskets! But then we must share.
A visitor, Mommy!!! Come see!!!
Stand-off!!! Who moves first?
This fire is soooooo warm. Yawwwn.
The amazing Twizzle, sadly no longer with us:
Our beautiful ginger.
Some heartless person left him in a dumpster when he was about 4 weeks old.
He’s so close in color to the stain on our raw wood (NOT chosen by us!) that he tends to blend right in.
Our Rufus. I’d never had a “classic” tabby before. All the tabbies i’ve had are mackerel or broken mackerel.
This my Archie. He was so ill when I rescued him. He is developmentally delayed and so precious. He is 1.5 years old now and still tries so hard to mimic my other kitty and learn how to play. He is the sweetest boy ever. He is my heart.
We have four feral kittens living beneath the front porch. Two of them are ginger:
I wouldn’t call them “mine,” exactly, though they recognize me enough to know I am the Bringer of Food, and they don’t run away from me (though they also don’t let me pet them).
We want to catch them and bring them to the vet to fix and immunize them, as soon as COVID ends and the vet starts taking new cats again.
This is my son’s fourth ginger. When past cats have died, he specifically looked for available ginger cats in the local shelter. This is Chester, the most tolerant cat I’ve ever known. When he was placed in the visitation room with my son and his dad, he immediately walked right to my son and began rubbing and head bumping. They picked each other!
This is my ginger kitty. His name is pigglet. He’s very sassy.
Popeye the sweet one-eyed obese rescue cat!

I can show you a million! This is Owain…
My little ginger cat, this is what it looked like when he first arrived home, super cute and very clingy.
Here's my new cat, Ziggy
He's extra cute when he sleeps.
Absolutely. This is Mr. Fantastic. I rescued him when he was only 4 or 5 weeks old from under a friend's trailer at 2am. Lol. He has been my faithful cuddle bug every since!
And here is a bonus ginger. My daughter's cat named Kink. He's not even 2 yet. Pretty sure he's a main coon mix. He's nearly 20 lbs and his paws are almost as big as the palm of my hand. Mr. Fantastic has a lot to aspire to. Lol for reference she is 17 in these pics. He'd huge next to her!
This is my beautiful Kevin Schmevin, he was rescued when he was thrown from a car window on the highway
My beautiful, sweet, and sassy ginger .. Goldie
Daisy with her (sometimes) best friend, Lily:
Our very own real life Garfield. We call him Gus. Named after my grandparents ginger cat Gus Gus. Who was named after the Cinderella mouse. We are super lucky to have this guy. He was living the dangerous street life until last year when he allowed us to rescue him. We are so very lucky to have him ❤️
Meet Ryzhik, aka “Potato”:
This was after he had his belly shaved for an ultrasound check, as he seemed to be in pain. It was apparently just wind, which ended up costing us over 2.5 thousand dollars equivalent (Swiss prices). Fucking expensive fart…
But we love him anyway.
Although “he bitey”.
He’s sooo noble.
He is our favourite potato.
This is Goldfish.
Kori aka Orange Roll
I have 2 gingers, both from the same mother cats just 2 years apart.
Weasley was born in April 2016, he joined us along with his litter-mate Scamp a few months later.
Foxy was born roughly in May 2018, he joined us as a permanent resident in August 2018 after visiting for a few months.
Foxy with his mother, Mogs, who bought him round after the rest of his litter were adopted out. He was the last 1 to find a new home.
Foxy saying hello to big brother Scamp.
Foxy with one of the stray/feral cats, Blackie. Foxy is a sociable cat when it comes to other cats, he doesn’t pick fights or anything, so other cats seem to settle with him.
Weasley and Sooty. They get along ok, but both prefer being alone than being with other cats.
Weasley
There’s 4 cats in this pic, the 3 brothers on the bed, and Sooty hiding behind the curtain. Foxy was looking at Sooty.
Spread out, but together, they followed me on a walk one morning.
Scamp gets on better with Foxy than he does with his littermate Weasley.
All 3 brothers together.
Little toe beans. :)
Sorry for the long post, i didn’t realise how many photos i had of them together and of them with other cats.
Even though not technically “Ginger cat”, her name is Ginger and I have had her since the day she was born…9 years ago, in fact, I helped deliver her.
This however, is my ginger cat Punkin that I rescued from the mean outside world.
Here is an updated picture of Punkin, who I introduced you to several months ago…this would be his favorite way to sleep
Bert (aka Catfood Breath)
White with ginger “cow” markings and tail.
(That’s Prius in the background - calico, but mainly black)
Here’s one better… two of them! Meet Ranga and Lil Red. Feral brothers born in separate litters in rural Maryland, both rescued and socialized and couldn’t be bigger sweethearts.
Ours are bookends.
